Très romantique.
A Perfect setting for a romantic holiday. We stayed in the largest of the apartments for 2 weeks in comfort. The owners and their staff where courteous and did not intrude in our personal space, even when we used the common areas of the grounds. Le point de due du haut de leur colline est magnifique.
Les photos représentent bien le site et les commentaries d'autres visitors sur la condition de la route sont justifiés, bien qu'un pen exagérés.

Lovely setting providing a good homebase for day trips throughout Tuscany.
Sunsets were beautiful. The outside common areas were lovely and provided excellent views of the surrounding contryside. The washing machine worked well and the clothes line was very handy. The support staff were very responsive to all requests. Owners and support staff are unobtrusive (you are on your own).
Only one window had a screen and it had holes in it allowing mosquitos to come in. To allow more air into the unit, a screen door on the front door would be useful. 4 lightbulbs in the living room were burnt out and were not replaceable by the support staff (an electrician is required).

Beautiful, relaxing and idyllic holiday destination.
The owners Fabrizio and Eva are delightful and could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Thank you so much to you both. The location was idyllic, set in the rolling Tuscan hills amongst a working vineyard. The wine, olive oil and Grappa produced here are of a very high standard. 15 minute drive to the beautiful Castellina in Chianti and right in heart of Tuscany.
Rooms inside were extremely hot with no air conditioning, however the owners gave us a fan for the bedroom. It was an unusually hot Summer. Our accomodation (Lauro apartment) was a little cramped for our needs with the toddler, however would have been great if we were just a couple. Next time we will book the larger 'Pergola' apartment.

Lugar acogedor.
Te sientes como en casa, con mucha libertad.
Cobrar por usar de la barbacoa. No se cambian las toallas en una semana. Faltava escoba y recogedor para limpiar la casa.

A place to remember
Castellina in Chianti 48 is a wonderful place to stay during the summertime. We enjoyed the wonderful swimming pool and enjoyed watch beautiful animals. Such as a fox, lizards and birds. Our appartement came with a lovely garden, where we had our meals. It looks and feels like a picture perfect holiday home.
There were a lot of musquitos and the weather was hot. Still we didn't dare to open the windows because there were holes in the musquito nets. It would feel more comfortable if that was fixed.

Divine! We senior Americans joined dear Danish friends here and could not have been more pleased. Cannot wait to return!!
Beautiful setting with lovely outdoor dining and relaxing area (with attractive tenting that can be untied in case of rain or hot sun)overlooking the hills of Tuscany. Lovely staff who were helpful when needed but gave us complete privacy as well. Nice pool.
We needed to buy a large fan for one unit but other unit fans were adequate. Owners reimbursed us for it. Kitchens are tiny with limited meal preparation space but we managed fine.

Un joyau dans un magnifique écrin !
Deux semaines superbes dans cette résidence très bien située pour visiter la région. Nous avions loué les 2 gîtes contigus Lauro + Mello. Sienne et Florence sont à moins de 30 minutes et les merveilleux villages et vignobles du Chianti à perte de vue. Un véritable plaisir de rentrer au calme après des visites et de profiter de la piscine et du jardin. Castellina, le village, situé à 3 minutes en voiture est charmant et regorge de bonnes petites adresses. En plus de faire d'excellents vins et une huile d'olive savoureuse, les propriétaires sont des hôtes attentionnés et très respectueux et attentifs à votre confort. Tout à fait le genre d'adresse que l'on voudrait garder secrète pour y trouver toujours de la place !

Logement calme, belle demeure typique au milieu des vignes et des oliviers, propriétaire sympathique et de bon conseil parlant Français, joli coin piscine, séjour très agréable.
Route d'accès non goudronnée, réfrigérateur dans logement un peu bruyant (la nuit...).

Fabulous accommodations in a perfect location!
Castellina in Chianti is an absolutely lovely town, and this place is just a 5 minute drive from the "main town". The views are spectacular--and the grounds are gorgeous. The pool is bigger than I expected (and is very clean!), and there are many areas to just sit, sip wine, read, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The owners were fantastic, and their house red wine was terrific. I can't wait to go back!
Everything was great! If I had ONE slightly negative comment, it is that when they washed my laundry (for one whopping euro!), they used too much soap and some of our items had soap marks on them. But come on--they did my laundry!!! So I overlook this!

We had a great time.
The location in the Chianti was great. The people were friendly everywhere we went to in the area. The people on site were very helpful with recommendations. The views from the house were very nice.
The 1km road from the villa to the main road was not so fun to drive on. A lady who worked on site was a bit to personal with my lady and made her uncomfortable.
I may accept the positive opinions and decline the negative ones regarding restaurant prices and road conditions which do not concern us and we cannot change. The lady who works at the site might have been too personal, but I am sure she is a good hearted person and meant only well. All together the 80/100 vote we think we personally do not deserve.

La Toscane comme vous en rêvez!
Je m'adresse ici aux québécois qui ont suivi Josée di Stasio. Et bien ne cherchez plus et n'ayez aucune crainte, vous venez de trouver un petit coin de paradis en Toscane. L'agritourisme est situé à quelques minutes de Castellina in Chianti, charmant petit village. Et que dire du vignobe en lui-même. Le matin au réveil le paysage vous émerveillera. Nous avions l'appartement Lauro. Tout était parfait. Les hôtes sont charmants et vous enseigne très bien les villages environnants. C'est le genre d'adresse que l'on voudrait garder secrète. Partez confiant et réservez une journée de plus pour le repos et pour profiter du vignoble.
Nous aurions voulu y demeurer plus longtemps.

Calm surroundings
Kind owners. Nice and calm area, situated not too far from the main towns.
Before arriving, you have a sand road of about 1km full of holes! At some areas you need to drive 10km/h! Not good at all for the car. Also, the swimming pool is not heated so if you go outside July and August, the swimming pool will be too cold.
Unfortunately, we can do nothing but complain with the mayor of Castellina why the roads are not repaired during the high season. They reply, they have not enough money for the upkeep of all the roads. The pool is not heated? Do the tourists have an idea about the difficulty and costs of heating such a large pool? Pools are not heated in Tuscany apart from a few large establishments.

Amazing find in Chianti!
We loved pretty much every aspect of this place, from the big amenities (beautiful, large swimming pool), to the small touches (amazing coffee and the kindest owners, who even left us fresh figs on our patio table). The views were stunning, and we woke up every morning to the sounds of birds and nothing else. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us advice on where to eat and where to take (beautiful) country walks to, to see the area by foot. Even when we moved on to Rome, we wished we'd stayed at this agriturismo the entire time. The ground are lovely, the apartment cute and comfortable, the nearby towns charming and the scenery absolutely gorgeous. We are definitely going back the first chance we get. I cannot recommend anywhere I've stayed with less reservation--this place is really a gem.

TOSCANE la magnifique
Excellent accueil (découverte oenologique ++). Séjour des plus reposant dans un cadre magnifique, avec un accès facile aux principaux sites de TOSCANE (Sienne, San Giminiano,etc.)
Il serait nécessaire que la mairie de Castellina in Chianti intervienne auprès de l'entreprise de transport de bois qui détériore la route permettant d'accéder à cette superbe maison d'hôtes.

Wonderful experience in Chianti
Great location in rural setting with beautiful panoramas. Lovely swimming pool and grounds were enjoyed by all including our two kids. Owners very helpful. Would definitely return.

Beautiful peaceful positions, great grounds around the house, wonderful sweemingpool with swollows diving down for water. Very welcoming and helpful owners.
The room was very hot with little air and no airconditioning. The larger rooms are probably better.

Super Urlaub
Super Lage, alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe, nette Eigentümer mit tollem Wein und Öl, klein und sehr familiär, schöner und großer Pool, gemütliche und romantische Ferien
Wohnung nicht ganz perfekt ausgestattet. Es fehlte z. B. eine "typisch italienische" Kaffeemaschine. Normale aber vorhanden.
Wir sind sehr Stolz auf Ihr Kritik, danke auch für die Kritike, die Meinungen unseren Gäste sind wichtig für uns.

The location is great: you can drive up to lots of little tophill towns for day-trips! The accomodation is quite modest for a north american tourist but it left good memories anyway.

The acommodation was okay, the setting was lovely. Pool was good and surrounding views were beautiful. Local town lovely!
Very unfriendly owner who seemed to regard her guests more as a hassle than a pleasure. We were not made to feel 'at home' at all.
Well, we may have our private place as well; our guests did not rent the whole property. Usually, we try to be urban and kind even to rude guests.

The view from the house was stunning, and the beutiful pool was a welcome respite from busy days of seeing sites.
Close to many interesting villages; relaxing scenery, hilltop breezes, access to a washing machine
A drain in the main shower became clogged, but this was handled well by the owners. The single beds on the second floor are essentially on a long, narrow balcony overlooking the living area.
We have changed now the upper landing, i has become a spacious room.

A wonderful immersion into the real Tuscan countryside, Poggetto was an ideallic base from which to explore
Aspect and view Fresh rosemary surrounding the house - perfect accompaniment to a feast of Tuscan lamb Proximity to Castellina in Chianti Wonderful outdoor dining facility
Beds were very old and creaky Bathroom was dark and very old Kitchen was very very small
Since 2005 we have made great changes. Come back again!

schöner Urlaub mit Nachgeschmack
romantisches Anwesen, hübsche Räume, toller Ausblick
Zentralheizung wird mit Kaminofen betrieben, wärmt also auch nur dann wenn hier eine gute Glut herrscht - was leider nicht gelang. Anfahrt über eine staubige Piste, nur bei trockenem Wetter mit jedem PKW zu empfehlen. Bei Abreise waren die Eigentümer sehr unzufrieden mit dem von uns zuvor vereinbarten und gebuchten Preis, zum Abschied hat das den insgesamt positiven Eindruck doch etwas getrübt.
